Phase One

Our team in Phase One are

Years 1 & 2 are also known as Key Stage One and if you are as old as me 'the Infants'.

Focus in Year One is very much on following the National Curriculum and introducing the children gently into a more structured day. We also find time for lots of fun activities as well.

Year 2 is an important year as children are tested at the end of the year in National SAT tests in English and Maths. The teachers work with the children to help them achieve the expected standards at this stage.

The children also begin to learn more about their local environment and the world around them by exploring nature and science.

In Year Three children make the transition into 'the juniors'. They study a range of topics which enable them to experience learning in a variety of ways.
