M.P. Visits school

Our M.P. Shaun Woodward visited school on the 25th January 2002 to chat to our School Council about how Government works and also gave a brief interview to the editorial board of our school newspaper 'Rockin Robins'

Two of the 'Rockin Robins' Lauren Glover and Danielle Sharlot asked Mr Woodward why he wanted to help and support St Helens? Mr Woodward replied "because if a person likes doing something they do it don't they. I enjoy working for the people of St Helens.

They bravely asked What happens if you disagree with Mr Blair? Do you get a say in the matter? Mr Woodward replied that yes he does get a say but Mr Blair makes most of the decisions - he is like your Mum and Dad but if MPs strongly believe they are correct and he is not, then we will debate what we think.
